Adroit Medical Systems announces that they have received their Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) Status Certification
July 3, 2012 - Adroit Medical Systems announces that they have received their Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) Status Certification and have been added to the verified Veteran business database at Adroit is the only manufacturer of patient warming and localized heat and cold therapy systems with VOSB status. The VOSB certification means that federal hospitals will have an easier avenue to procure Adroit's temperature management products, including the popular HTP-1500 heat therapy and Mobile ICE cold therapy systems used for arthritis and post surgical pain relief. Furthermore, Federal agencies, medical distributors and hospital group purchasing organizations may now use Adroit's products to meet their VOSB SBC contracting obligations.

Adroit Medical Systems - a USA company, develops, manufactures and sells patient warming systems, surgical drapes, sterile delivery systems and instrument covers. Adroit is also a contract manufacturer of medical disposables and durable medical equipment. FDA registered, UL audited, CE and ISO Certified 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008.

VOSB Certification - Public Law (P.L.) 109-461 entitled "Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006" provides the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with unique authority for contracting with service-disabled Veteran-owned (SDVOSB) and Veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB). A new procurement hierarchy within VA for open market procurements was created which places our highest priority with SDVOB followed by VOSB. This procurement authority, and its subsequent implementation, is a logical extension of VA's mission, to care for our nation's Veterans. VA refers to this program as the Veterans First Contracting Program. See 48 CFR § 808 in the Quick Links box for the Federal priorities in acquisition.
